美國能源部(DOE)近期宣布投資7個(gè)藻類項(xiàng)目用于支持藻類生物能源的發(fā)展,合計(jì)投入1500萬美元。DOE的目標(biāo)是至2022年實(shí)現(xiàn)微藻生物燃料的成本將至3美元每加侖。
美國能源部長表示“開發(fā)新的能源是保障國家繁榮和安全的關(guān)鍵所在,獲支持的項(xiàng)目具有生產(chǎn)出可靠的,廣大居民可消費(fèi)的起的生物燃料的潛在技術(shù)”。
整個(gè)項(xiàng)目名為“藻類系統(tǒng)中的有效碳利用”,目的是提高碳利用的效率及藻類系統(tǒng)的生物質(zhì)產(chǎn)率,通過提高廢氣CO2的轉(zhuǎn)化效率(如從發(fā)電廠)或發(fā)展新的可消費(fèi)的起的碳捕獲技術(shù)(從空氣中直接捕獲碳給藻類系統(tǒng))
7個(gè)項(xiàng)目分別是:
